I can't even begin to explain how incredibly old I feel today having a 10 year old!
I actually don't really remember my life without Tiana in it. I am so grateful that I don't have to know where I would be without her because I do know where I was headed and I know the person I was back then was not even close to somebody I would ever want to be or know for that matter.
I got pregnant with Tiana on August 25, 1999 (2 weeks after my 18th birthday).
I had dated Mark (or so I liked to think in my own mind) for 4 years before I got pregnant and it was an unhealthy relationship from the very beginning. My dad died December 4, 1994 and I met Mark February 16, 1996 and I believe I just decided to cling to him as the male role in my life although he was just graduating high school and I was just trying to get out of jr high school. Life is all kind of a blur through that time until the day I had Tiana, I remember it perfectly I drove to the hospital at 3:00 in the morning May 5, 2000 which was 2 weeks before she was due and waited til 5:30a.m. when they gave me a sleeping pill and had me call my mom to come pick me up, she got there and I told her I wasn't leaving cause I knew the baby was coming. We went down to the lobby and waited for 1 hour til my mom realized my contractions were a couple minutes apart and took me back upstairs telling them my contractions were too close together for me to be going home. They admitted me and she went to work I got the epidural at about 7:30a.m. and called Mark and he and my mom both got there just in time to see her be born
TIANA FE PRATT 5lb 13oz and 18" long born May 5th 2000 at 9:25 a.m.
She blesses my life just as much, if not more, today than the day she was born
