I found out at the carnival that our brand new camera is not working and Tiana's camera's batteries were dead so this is the next morning(sadly missing Becca, and Alexis had to leave at 8:30 that morning so we just missed her as well)
After everyone got picked up and dropped off, we were off to Nana's to help out with her yard for her Mother's Day gift. Preston very much enjoyed the Rice Krispie Treats! (Thanks Aunt Elena)
I used to think that Mother's Day was a day to feel appreciated as a mother, but this year I had a whole new outlook on this day as I sat in church and listened to the speaker as she gave her talk about her gratitude for the birth mother that she just recently adopted her baby girl from and it just made me realize that Mother's for me isn't about the gifts I receive, how good my children will be for me that day, or even being appreciated for all the hard work I feel I do each day. It's a day set aside for me to take the opportunity to thank my Heavenly Father for blessing with wonderful children and appreciating them for the joy they bring to my life each and every day. I have to ask sometimes, Why do I get this amazing blessing when there are so many, much more deserving? So,I definitely need to say THANK YOU! Thank you for the greatest gift I will ever receive! Thank you for my beautiful children and Thank you for so many wonderful examples of mothers all around me in my life especially my own Mother, WE LOVE YOU MOM/NANA!!!
After church we went and had dinner at Nana's and Tiana entertained herself by making a Tepee. She is definitely very creative!:)
