Recap of 2010

Well I started preschool and it seems my life ended and I stopped doing everything I enjoy. 2010 was easily the worst year of my life and gives me every motivation to make the changes necessary to make 2011 the BEST!!! I still took lots of pictures and hopefully still built good, lasting memories for the children and the bad parts of 2010 will soon be forgotten.

Wow, I just went back over what I had done and I missed out on so much, Preston's 1st birthday, Preston walking, all our adventures for the summer, and Preston transforming into: Ogre, Little Grinch :) I left off in June so that is where I will start
June 2010
Orem Summerfest

SUMMER FUN

PRESTON'S 1st BIRTHDAY!!!

July 2010
I definitely should have done a few slides for this month since it was packed, but, I didn't! So, we got a little... 4th of July, Owlz games, a few different camping trips, swimming, Lagoon, 7peaks, cheer performance,Jay's Birthday, Cooper's Run and lots of adventure! :) Also, Preston learned to walk July 26th! Had I been writing this at that time I'm sure I would have said HOORAY!!! But, since I'm not, I know that him walking brought on a whole new adventure for our life time which you will see as you read on.

August 2010
This is the point where things tend to get a little crazy! I started preschool August 30th and I decided to go all out and get licensed for childcare which meant, food program, childcare classes, inspections, finding kids, planning lessons, field trips and lots and lots of chaos! But that doesn't come til the end of the month so let's not get a head and just enjoy our last few weeks of summer, vacations and basically happiness as we knew it. So here comes August!

This is the first of August.... Camping, trafalga, and more camping

And Now we go to the end of August... Our last Family Vacation, preschool Meet the Teacher day and Our last Summer Triple A pictures.

PRESCHOOL

SEPTEMBER 2010
5K

Jay has gotten really big into running the last couple years and has done a lot of 5K's and is preparing for the Halloween Half Marathon in October.

MORE PRESCHOOL
Since daycare and preschool are all we really did the last few months, most of our pictures from this point until January will be mostly of things having to do with that. These pictures are from our Talent show, and outside time. The kids loved playing make believe at our outside free play time. We played motorcycle racing, where we pretended we were on motorcycles and raced across the grass. Restaurant, where we pretended to take orders and cook food and bring the food out to the customers. We dug for worms and roly poly bugs and explored. But, the thing that they loved the most was "The Doctor Game" which I made up at the first of the year during our "What I Want to be when I grow up" week. One person is the doctor and stays down at the hospital while everyone else is up at their house (playground) and they get sick and have to come down to the doctors to get their medicine but they don't want their medicine, so they run away until the doctor tags them (gives them their medicine) which makes them healthy and they also become doctors until everyone has become a Dr and the last one tagged then becomes the Dr. I know it sounds so dumb but it truly gave us all exercise and all the fun we needed.

OCTOBER 2010
KADEN TURNS 3!!! Frightmares at Lagoon and Kaden started Itty Bitty Basketball

Preschool Field Trip to Hee Haw Farms and HALLOWEEN
Jay did a Half Marathon on October 30th, He did amazing! We are so proud of him!!!
Next Year I am making a goal to do it with him.

NOVEMBER 2010
Jay and I switched to Sprint on November 6th and got the HTC Evo phone. I LOVE IT!!! So basically all my pictures from now on have been taken from that. It has everything you could ever possibly need and then some... Great camera, GPS that is better than the expensive ones you buy in the store, games, music, internet, truly you name it and it has it. It has made taking pictures of the Ogre and posting them on facebook, so I can laugh about things and not go insane, much easier. I decided that doing daycare and preschool were taking away from what was most important to me and that was being a good mom. I did daycare in attempt to be with my kids while also making money and it didn't work out, since the time that I didn't have extra kids I was trying to plan my lessons for the next day or cleaning and the house was never and still is never clean. I wrote all of the parents and let them know and not even one week later, Jay's dad died (Nov. 22)and I was asked to help run the limo business. I had so much emotion that I didn't quite know what to do with and I felt like I just really needed to be there for Jay. I will explain a little bit, James Fairbanks wasn't Jay's biological father but he married Diane in Sept 1983 and adored her and her 3 kids with all his heart and took her children on as his own. He never had any of his own children but you never would have known because, to him, these were his kids and he treated them better than most dads treat their own. well, after he died every tragic moment of my life came crashing down and I have struggled ever since finding an actual peace in my life.

DECEMBER YAY!!! The end of 2010
I have never looked forward to a new year like I did this year. December was busy with trying to learn the business, finishing up preschool, daycare, Holiday parties, and Trying to have some good family time. All in all we made it through and here are the pictures to show it.
